Ceremony 2014


On May 24, 2014 during the Awards Ceremony and Dinner at the Radisson Blu Hotel Latvija, the winners of the first Human Development Award were announced. 

Keynote speakers were Prime Minister of Latvia Laimdota Straujuma, the U.S. Ambassador in Latvia Mark Pekala, and the Development Economist and Fellow of the UN Research Institute for Social Development Gabriele Koehler.

The winners of the Human Development Award 2014 received the sculpture "Sprout" made by the artist Olga Silova. The winner of the caregory Outstanding Commintment to Education Award - Latvian Dyslexia Association received a gratuity in the amount of 3000 EUR.
